As usual it has been a busy half term. Taking advantage of the better weather, the children have been able to access extra physical activities in school. Some Y2 children have attended an athletics competition with other schools in the area. We have had Healthy Living Fortnight with Bollywood dancing and sports day. It was lovely to see parents doing some exercise with DW Fitness on the playground. Well done to them-it was hot out there!
Y2 have also had a visit to the Leeds Grand Mosque as part of their RE learning and of course they have been doing their transition activities to prepare them for the Junior School. Y1 have been to Fairburn Ings and Nursery have visited None Go Bye Farm.
Sock puppets were out in force this half term for the ALPT art exhibition. Thank you to all the parents who came to help and I do hope that some of you had the opportunity to visit the exhibition.
This week saw the famous potato assembly and this morning the Y2 children amazed us with their fantastic Leavers’ Assembly! I hope you all enjoyed it and would like to thank both the children and the Year 2 staff for all their hard work and enthusiasm.
Have a lovely summer and I look forward to seeing you all on Tuesday 4th September at 8:55am.
