So we are coming to the end of the first half term of 2018-19. As usual we seem to have been very busy. We have welcomed our new children, particularly in Nursery and Reception. Everyone seems really settled and Reception impressed us with their first public performance at our Harvest Assembly last week. I never fail to be impressed by how well Reception do and I really believe that this year, it was the best harvest festival we have had- morning and afternoon. This is a big thing and made possible by all the hard work of the staff. Thank you to all the parents who were able to attend.
We have also welcomed a new member of staff, Mrs Kavanagh in nursery and said goodbye to Mrs Caudwell and Mrs Jagger. We wish them all the best.
We had a super History day last week which all the children and staff enjoyed and it was lovely to see the parents who could make it to our open sessions to share their children’s learning. Reverend Richard has been in to take an assembly and some Y1 and Y2 children took part in an Aireborough football competition-they did very well! Miss Holmes was very pleased. Reception appeared in the paper this week to commemorate their start to school.
Today the children are doing some pedestrian training to help keep them safe when out walking. Have a lovely half term and we look forward to seeing you all after the break. We will see Y1 and Y2 on Tuesday 6th November at 8.55am and Reception and Nursery on Wednesday 7th November at 8.55am.
