Phonics and Reading in Early Years and Key Stage 1
We believe that if "you read, you succeed" therefore we place a great deal of emphasis on ensuring that our children leave us as confident and fluent readers. We do daily phonic sessions across the school using the FFT Success for All Phonics Scheme. All staff have had high quality phonics training. We use a range of reading schemes to give the children the breadth and depth necessary to become fluent readers. Our key schemes include the Oxford Reading Tree, Rigby Star and PM books.
