Lunchtimes and Playtimes
Lunchtimes and playtimes are an important part of the school day. Lunchtime is a time when the children get to socialise with their friends and enjoy sitting together whilst eating their meal. The children enjoy a variety of meals which are served by our fantastic servers. Outside at lunchtime and playtime we have a range of activities on both the Infant and Junior Sites.
School Dinners
Meals are provided by the Leeds Catering Agency which our cooks prepares daily. The kitchen staff maintain a healthy eating policy and accommodate dietary needs and food allergies.
The cost of school lunches from September 2026 is £2.95 per day for each child in Nursery and years 3 to 6. The method of payment is ‘ParentPay’ for the Junior site and School Spider for the Infant site. Children in Reception, Year 1 and 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals.
Four weeks written notice is required if you wish to change from school lunches to sandwiches because the food has to be ordered 4 weeks in advance.

Free School Meals
If you are on benefits or a low income, your child may be eligible for free school meals. Did you know for every child who is entitled to free school meals (FSM) the school receives a funding called Pupil Premium. This adds to the school budget and is used to support the children. Therefore, we would welcome parents to support school, in this current economic climate, by applying for FSM for their child if they meet the criteria, even if your child prefers to have a packed lunch.
More information about the criteria and how to apply can be found on the Leeds City Council website.
Packed Lunches
A large number of our children enjoy our healthy school dinners. Some parents choose to send their children with packed lunches. In order to support parents in providing a healthy packed lunch, we have developed a packed lunch guidance. We have followed government guidelines and feel that it offers a sensible and manageable approach.
