Online Safety

This page provides useful links and information sheets aimed at parents of primary age children from a variety of agencies including the Child Exploitation and Online Protection agency (CEOP) who work with law enforcement to keep all children safe online.

To find out more about how we keep children safe in school please see our Safeguarding statement in our policies section.

Sophos, makers of our anti-virus software, have published a guide (The Little Big Book of Badness) aimed at parents to help them keep their children and themselves safe from all kinds of online threats such as phishing and viruses.  This guide can help answer some of the questions we get asked by parents in school – the information in here is also of use for any adult who uses the internet, particularly those who may be less internet savvy!

If you have any concerns regarding Online Safety that you would like to discuss with school, please contact the office.

You can access a wealth of resources for parents and carers via the Parent Zone and NCA-CEOP websites.

Parent Zone sits at the heart of modern family life, providing advice, knowledge and support to shape the best possible future for children as they embrace the online world. Parent Zone provides resources and training to educate and equip professionals and supports parents to develop the right skills and understanding, so that their children can discover the possibilities and opportunities available to them online.

NCA-CEOP has an extensive offer for children and young people, parents, carers and professionals. Its parents and carers website and educational materials offer more specific advice and information about keeping children and young people safe from online sexual abuse and exploitation.
