Reception Spring Term Blog

Date: 1st Apr 2021 @ 8:50am

Hello everyone,

After a very strange half term it has been wonderful having the children back in the classrooms. Friendships have reconnected and play, wellbeing and settling back into school life has been a priority.

This half term we have focused on fairy tales and the children have been engaged at home and in school. Our highlight was solving the mystery of Goldilocks and The Three Bears.

Phonics and maths teaching has resumed and the children are doing very well indeed. Our team have been assessing the children and we will personalise our teaching and learning to suit individual needs as we move forwards.

Easter week was a lot of fun, making salt dough decorations, having a bonnet parade, playing Easter games and decorating biscuits... and we still managed to have daily phonics, maths and writing too! If your child appears tired then this is why!

Please continue to check Tapestry regularly as we find it is an great way to keep you updated with learning, news and memos.

We are so proud of how they have come back into Reception. We couldn’t ask for any more from them.

We hope you have an ‘eggsellent’ holiday and we look forward to another exciting half term when we return.

Thank you for your continued support,

Team Reception
