Firstly, on behalf of the Governing Board, could I take this opportunity to welcome you all to a new school year. Due to the current pandemic, the school environment looks a little different, but nevertheless it is really nice to be able to welcome pupils back. The Headteacher and staff are working hard to keep the school as safe as possible during these challenging times.
Thank you to everyone who has helped make drop offs and pick ups go more smoothly each day. In order to reduce the numbers waiting, it is important that you please come at your allocated time. Additionally, thankyou to those parents who have been wearing masks whilst on the school grounds. It is these small steps that will continue to ensure the school is as safe as it can be for everyone attending the premises. If you cannot wear a mask then could we please ask that you maintain two metres distance from others not only on the playground but while you are waiting outside school. We would also ask that you do not congregate outside school as it makes entry and exit difficult for everyone. We understand that people want to chat but everything we can do to minimise contact will help school stay open.
Whilst as a Governing Body we appreciate that these are difficult times and the current arrangements may take a little getting used to but we want to reassure you that they are necessary and form a significant part of the school’s overall plan to keep staff, pupils and parents/carers safe and keep the school open. A significant number of schools have already had to send children home for 14 days due to infection so we would really like to do all that we can to prevent this happening at our school.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding.
