Dear All,

I hope you are all well and managing in the current situation. It does seem like a lifetime since we last saw you  - I am sure home schooling makes it seem a lot longer!

I hope you finding the home learning we send useful and I would like to say again that please do what works for you and don't get stressed about it. I know some of the children will find it hard to focus and if this is the case then I suggest gentle encouragement. I am sure my son would say I know nothing about gentle encouragement after our discussion this morning!!

Although we cannot send home individual work for each child, please let us know what is working and what isn't which will help with planning. Staff are working very hard to make the suggestions practical and accessible to all.

They are also enjoying preparing the youtube channel videos [even Mrs Nolan has got involved and some of the governors]! From what I hear the children are enjoying that regular contact with their teachers which is so important.

Everyone keeping safe and well both physically and emotionally is most important. And please if anyone is struggling financially due to the current situation, please get in touch with school. We may be able to help with food parcels.

I have attached an information sheet about phonics lessons which you may find useful, again it is not compulsory but a suggestion. Children doing a little bit everyday will help particularly reading and listening to stories.

Please keep sending in photos of any home learning to

Stay safe.

Ms Lowry
