Important information about school tomorrow 05/01/2021 following announcement this evening

Dear Parent/Carers,

Following the Prime Minister's announcement, it feels like we are back in March 2020 and with that in mind, I would like to make school as safe as possible for everyone.

I know that this is incredibly short notice but school will only be open  to the children of critical workers and those children deemed vulnerable from tomorrow.  Remote learning will be available from 9.00am tomorrow morning. Before and after school club will be available to critical workers.

We currently have a long list of children with one or two parents classed as critical workers. The list is well over half the school. Please could critical workers support me by only sending their child to school if they have no other choice and that  there is no one at home to care for their child.  I know that this is incredibly short notice and I am really sorry.

We received no advance warning of this announcement and heard about it when you did. For those of you who will be supporting your child's learning at home, we will do everything we can to support you.

I hope you understand that these decisions have been made to keep people safe. School is to be used when there is no other option.

The prime minister said that the safest place for you and your child is at home.

Please stay safe.
